Creative director, co-choreographer and performer - a QUT site-specific project
HIGHarchKEy is a site-specfic dance work that delves into the intricate theme of power. Celebrating the dynamic space between Z9 and Musk Avenue, the performance seeks to elucidate the concept of hierarchy and its profound impact on human society. The performance thoughtfully explores universal themes of power, order, conformity, status and desire, inviting the audience to contemplate the intricate web of human interactions that govern our lives.
By recognising a similar dynamic between balconies, elevators, the ground and stairs, HIGHarchKEy uniquely symbolizes the cyclical nature of hierarchical structures. This choreographic design serves as a powerful metaphor, shedding light on the order, ranking and the inherent socio-political values and emotions associated with hierarchical systems.
